Little Shop of Horrors

Seven shows weekly with dinner theatre packages.   From the creators of ALADDIN & THE LITTLE MERMAID comes this rollicking musical comedy about a boy, a girl and a plant. Seymour, the nerdy clerk at a down-on-its-luck flower shop loves the shop’s beautiful cashier and sets out to impress her by growing the world’s most unusual plant. Hilarity ensues when he discovers the plant needs more than just water and sun to thrive. The tuneful musical score and off-beat romance make this one of the last decade’s most successful and entertaining shows.

Music by the Lake - Lee Greenwood: American Patriot 

Performing one of the most recognizable patriotic songs in America, Grammy winner and multi-platinum entertainer Lee Greenwood makes his debut at Music by the Lake in a special program of country songs and original compositions that will set off fireworks in The Ferro Pavilion. His original song, “Proud to be an American,” written in the back of his tour bus, has been in the Top 5 of the country singles charts three times (1991, 2001 and 2003). This wonderful anthem will celebrate its 30th anniversary this summer. It’s a pleasure to host American Patriot Lee Greenwood as he pays tribute to this great land and to the legacy of those who have kept it great.

4th Annual SUP Masters and Demo

Clear Water Outdoor (CWO) presents the 4th Annual SUP Midwest Masters National.  This is not just a race; it's a celebration.  The event includes an all day event of Stan-Up Paddleboard (SUP) inspired activities and demos.  We will have 3 races: a recreational short race, a long race, and elite long race. The elite long race will have elite categories with cash prizes.  The courses we have are for all ages and skill levels.  There will be equipment demos and sprint races all day.  We will have a raffle, with all the proceeds going to Lake Geneva Water Safety Patrol.  See website for more.

Saturday June Band is one of the top acts in the Midwest with a long list of credentials.  They include Taste of Chicago, Navy Pier, Arlington Racetrack, Ravinia Festival and many more.  They have also performed for the Beach Boys, Rare Earth, the English Beat, the Smithereens and the Dave Clark 5 just to name a few.  Saturday June plays and eclectic mix of music ranging from the 60's and the 70's right through up to today's hits.  They also perform songs from their original albums, both of which are available on I Tunes and Amazon.

Summer Concert Series

Geoff Landon and the Wolfpack performs Country - Top 40 featuring powerful vocals and award winning musicians.  The Wolfpack have opened for numerous national acts and play anywhere from small honky-tonk bars to large country festivals throughout the Midwest.  Their larger events include Summerfest, Germanfest with Gretchen Wilson, Wisconsin State Fair and the Milwaukee Harley Rally with Emerson Drive.  With three CD's released, they have numerous songs available on iTunes.

East Troy Electric Railroad Pizza Train 
July 13th and August 17th.
 
New in 2013, the East Troy Electric Railroad’s family-friendly pizza train offers a two-hour casual dining experience, taking riders from the railroad’s historic depot to Phantom Lake in Mukwonago and back. Dining is aboard former coaches of the Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad and includes pizza, beverage and garlic bread. Ticket price varies per number in party. Prepaid reservations are required.

Music by the Lake - Gala of Stars:

The Reunion After 12 exciting years of nurturing young artists in productions at Music by the Lake, Conductor Christine Flasch and Stage Director Carin Silkaitis will present distinguished alumni in the “top hits” from popular operas, operettas and musicals presented since 2002. Music by the Lake will showcase many of the singers in their former roles, and in blockbusters being considered for future seasons. This original review will be presented as a fast-paced, staged musical “extravaganza” with full orchestra. The Music by the Lake Festival Orchestra and Chorus will round out the ensemble in a celebratory night to remember. Where are they now? Coming home—to Music by the Lake—for a very special performance.

Cars Time Forgot Car Show

Over 600 cars are expected to line the shores of Delavan Lake on the Resort property of Lake Lawn Resort.  Admission for show cars is $7.00 preregistered and $10.00 day of the show.  It is free for spectators.  Food pantry donations will be accepted.  There will be food, music and raffles.  Show cars will be judged and awards will be given out.  Check out our website at www.carstimeforgot.com for more information.

Ten Chimneys Foundation Fellowship Master Class

Ten Chimneys Foundation announces its 2013 Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship Master Class with Academy Award nominee, six time Golden Globe winner, and five time Emmy Award winner Alan Alda serving as the Master Teacher.  Mr. Alda will focus on spontaneity on stage, and will lead ten accomplished theatre actors in a master class and immersion experience on the grounds and within the inspirational rooms of Ten Chimneys, the National Historic Landmark estate of Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin.
